This neat little Worx 16 inch electric lawn mower is rugged yet lightweight. This particular Worx mower is perfect for small yards and homes with limited storage space.

This 13 Amp mower has plenty of cutting power for the smallish 16 inch blades. It is actually an easy mower to store, the handles fold down and collapse, making it quite easy to store. The handle folds back and collapses for quite a compact, easy-to-store mower. The grass box is pretty spacious and holds approximately 13 gallons of clippings and you can detach the box simply in order to empty it.

There are limited reviews around on this particular Worx mower, personally I don’t like hover mowers so would probably never buy this. However for some people they make a good choice particularly if you want something easy to manage which will cut your lawn pretty quickly. Many people have not heard of Worx lawnmowers in the UK hwoever they have a good reputation in the USA where they are a well known brand.

Worx have another mower in this price range but it has wheels instead of the hover nonsense, it’s called the Worx 1200w Silent Electric Rotary Mower – also worth checking out. Another thing that might not be important to grass cutting itself but the Worx mowers certainly look quite stricking, a bit of a head turner and chances are you’ll be the only one who has one if you’re in the UK at least.

How Do I Choose Between A Rotary And Hover Lawwn Mower?

Hover mowers are usually rotary ! I think you mean cylinder or rotary. Depends if you want “stripes” or not. If you want stripes you need a cylinder mower, quite expensive compared to hover. If you just want to cut the grass go for a hover, if you have lots of grass, go for a rotary petrol, ie Mountfield. Petrol engines go for Briggs and Stratton for preference.

Flymo Hover Compact 350 – Hover Collect Mower.

The Flymo range have always been popular with people who are simply interested in just a quick efficient way to cut their grass. Your never going to get the same finish from a hover mower compared to a cylinder one but for just cutting grass they could be the solution for you.

So how about the Flymo Hover Compact 350 fare. Well it has 1500 watt engine, and a 35 cm cutting width which should be sufficient for small to average gardens. There are 4 specific cutting heights from between 10 -30 mm. The cable on the Compact 350 is approximately 12 metres in length and it weighs in a reasonably light 7.6 kgs.

The grass box will hold 22 litres and is hinged to help with easy emptying.

Be careful though and check out the reviews below and at Amazon, some of the Flymo range suffer from poor build qualities where as others seem to go on forever. This mower initially suffered from the former so check out what people are saying about the Flymo Hover Compact 350 before you part with any money. It is a cheap and cheerful mower though so don’t expect too much at the lower prices.
