Qualcast Elan 32 Electric Cylinder Lawn mower
Qualcast have 80 years experience in producing high quality cylinder mowers. Cylinder mowers use a horizontally mounted cylinder of blades cutting against a fixed bottom blade of a superior scissor-like cut. Electric cylinders are the most energy efficient of all cutting systems and come with a rear roller to leave a "striped" effect on your lawn. The Qualcast Elan 32 mower is a rear collecting a range of flexible cutting. It has an easily accessible, and Handl grassbox folding…

Lawnmower
A little fragile and plasticky in construction, but for a smallish garden the results are acceptable.
I bought this mower two years ago and died after about 14 months on the use of a small sized garden. The power is very low and, therefore, it is often struggles if the grass is the slightest moisture. In addition, the cylinder is driven by a belt from the engine. Part of this mechanism swerved completely and it was at this time that I put in the bucket. The idea of a great "band" effect in the garden does not work. I highly recommend obtaining a more powerful mower that even a small sized garden presents a struggle and died.

Qualcast Elan 22 Electric Mower
We wanted a mower that was light weight, easily transportable and gave a clean cut. We find that the Elan is just right for our small garden and has made mowing much easier…
Qualcast mowers I had before, but I am horrified by the quality and reliability of this model. It is terrible. I bought it in December 2006 and, in winter, never used until this spring. It is cheap, low quality plastic, most of the major components such as hinges Hadler and height adjustment are made of plastic. When I started using it I thought, it will never be the last. I was right. Today, in July 2007 after 3 months of use it is useless. It will not be cut, and we can not align the blade to cut properly. Too close to basplate and makes a terrible noise, opened the gap and does not cut it. Worse thing is that I think the Amazon, it will not take back, even if it has a warranty of 12 months and 5 years on parts. I would like to see one of these pieces of scrap 2 years, let alone 5.

Qualcast Elan 32 Electric Cylinder Lawn Mower
If I had looked at the bloog sites of this product I would not have purchased. Its a product doomed to failure badly designed and engineering wise it has a lot to be desired.
It is a pathetic mower and tends to tear the grass. If used on the new lawn, it rip it up.
He does not like the grass.
He does not like wet grass.
It does not produce scratches.
Does anyone know what the clip at the base of the handle is for? It does bend a pain.
I persevered for a few years with this (do not ask me why) and I'll try another brand. Qualcast thought I was supposed to be good – no more?

Worst lawnmower ever
The worst lawnmower I ever bought.
I researched the strengths and weaknesses of cylinder mowers compared with the far more common rotary style.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!
Despite bad reviews we bought this mower. The grass box would not fit together – we tried for a hour or so, but still could not.

Junk
This mower is total rubbish. It’s cheap and shoddily made and not easy to make any height adjustments.

Frustratingly weak
Bought this mower in 2005, and it is still gong 3 years on. That’s not to say that I have ever been totally satisfied with it though.

Don’t buy it !
The only good thing if found is that it is easy to use but don’t expect good performance: the grass box needs emptying constantly or else the cut grass spewed back out of the…

Get a hover mower?
Maybe my experience with this will improve as I get used to it.
But it started off badly because the assembly instructions, printed on a scrap of paper, are pathetic.
How can I remover the blade from a Elan 32 electric mower
