Buy Scotts 2000-20 20-Inch Classic Push Reel Lawn Mower at Amazon

This summer, sick of my dirty, smelly, noisy gas mower, I decided to buy a reel mower. As someone who sees himself as environmentally friendly, I do feel more comfortable using a machine cleaner on my lawn. At the same time, I did not want to turn the lawn mowing into a huge and difficult task. After researching all the models on the market, I decided I would give the Scotts 2000-20 reel mower a try. My idea of lawn mowing has completely changed. What is to be a tedious, annoying task is now pleasant and relaxing, due to the ease of use and functionality of this mower. Out of the box, it is very clear how to set this mower, and it should not take more than 30 minutes to get the assembly. Remember to put a little dishwashing detergent in the rubber handle cover before you move on. Then you're ready to go. The height adjustment, which is located near one of the rear wheels, is easily accessible: you simply push a lever and slide to the right height. The height levels are clearly marked right on the dial (much easier than having to leave your key and screwdriver for most gas mowers). In cutting, the mower is very smooth. With a minimum of energy, the blades with good speed and torque, easy to cut the grass at the waist. I have a few weeds from lawn, and I am concerned that this may bog down mower, but it cuts all with the same sweetness. My lawn has several uneven spots, but this mower processed and well. The rear wheels of the mower to keep balanced as you grow. If you push faster, of course, the blades run faster. But at a relaxed pace, finally turn the blades fast enough to take care of a type of lawn. I myself "my lawn go" a couple of times this summer (it grew to about 6 inches high at one point), the mower, but it handles very well. As you are mowing, you will notice that there is a lot less dust flying around, no smell of smoke, and you can listen to the birds and natural sounds of the entire time you are outdoors. This reel mower cuts the grass more cleanly for sure – you can see that the grass is greener when you have done, without brown tips. When I cut the lawn, I let the cuttings and allow them to mulch in the soil. The mower is light enough to lift and carry in a storage area. You do not have to take oil and gas around, this mower takes the minimum space. Here is the only disadvantage of this mower: (1) You can get 6 "at one end (2) If it receives a stick into the blade, you have to stop and take it out, (3) You will not be not visiting the local repair shop for lawn mower every season for a tune-up, spark plugs, air filter, and a number of other problems unforeseen. Since I started using this mower, several people asked me if it is more difficult to use, if it is slower, or even worse cuts. I assume that potential customers ask the same questions. I venture to say that it's just as easy to use MOWER A REAL AS IT IS TO BE USED FOR GAS MODEL. There is not a gas mower, it is easier to use, and gas mowers do not save any time, espcially when you consider all the needs of devices with one. Overall, this is an example of a simple, low-tech solution to a common need.
I just put my reel mower very together, after spending much time looking if I have one or not. The comments here are particularly useful. In short, I am glad that I bought. Advantages: 1. Safe: no flying rocks or other projectiles, your kids will not sneak up on you and you caught in the blade of the way they do with gas mowers. As an ED physician, it is an observation all the more important that I do not think has been done before. 2. Silent: my neighbors are grateful, as my ears3. No smoke, no fumes 4. Easier handling of mower gas, lighter, can more easily into cracks and safely5. Better for the environment, save on gas, oil. 6. Easier to start-up, I am more likely to cut the grass with this mower7. Do not take more time to mow the lawn or a gas mower (and if you gas mower is capricious, probalby going to be faster). Negatives: 1. Requires a little more elbow grease with the thick grass, especially on hills. Not much, but a little more (but good exercise). 2. Tall grass / weeds will not be easy to cut with this, all greater than 6.8 inches, probably in the spring not to return in time for cutting blades them3. 20 "band cut a little narrower than the average gas mower, you May need some more passes. On flat ground, it poses no problem whatsoever. I am pleased with this mower, how it takes remains to be seen. Construction quality is decent price and free shipping can not be beaten. You have not tried the $ 200 + models of reel mowers, so I can not comment. If you have a smaller (<0. 5 acres), relatively flat yard, what do you expect! If you like to think of mowing the lawn for the year and have a slightly larger site, in May this be for you. Finally, if you have children and safety is a concern (yes, you Volvo all-wheel-drive owners away), a reel mower is the way to go.

Woks great for lighter jobs
As long as your gras is nor longer than 5 inches, this is a great product. For me it works great as secondary lawn mower, fro small lighter jobs.

Mowed with this for 3 months before writing review
After thoroughly researching manual lawn mowers and reading numerous reviews, I chose the Scotts 2000-20 push mower on amazon.
I own a John Deere 4. 5 hp 22 "Gas (4-stroke) self-propelled mulching mower. I believe it sells for about $ 600-700 a decade ago. It is very good, but it needs each year of service, it needs to be cleaned, and shoes, if the grass is wet or too high. I'm not sure what made me look at reel mowers on Amazon. Perhaps it was wondering how I was doing my running on gas transport to the John Deere mower for the service this year. Perhaps I was not surprised when I saw that I had to buy gas twice in one season this year. Having to adjust the carburetor almost every week this season? Breathing exhaust unfiltered? Whatever the reason, I found this mower on Amazon and was intrigued by the idea of a clean, quiet mower. The fact that his method of cutting may be better for my lawn was just a bonus. No gas or tune-up? Even better. Reviews on Amazon are encouraging, but I did a lot more research than that. I look at the Brill Luxus, but it has a maximum cutting height of 1. 8. I do not know about you, but my lawn is not a golf course. Scotts mower This is the only one with a maximum of 3 "cutting height, and I use about 2. 5. Price: Amazon also has the best offer, I find, especially with free delivery. Other sites are charging $ 180 or more, plus shipping. Search: Amazon is asking people not to enter the URL, but a quick Google for "Scotts Classic reel" will display all the sites I used in my research. Assembly: This is crazy, but you should definitely about a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid inside the foam to help to slide the handle. Try to spread it around inside the foam, as far as possible. You can wipe off the excess after installation. Apart from this, the assembly is a breeze. (A 30-minute snap.) First impressions: My 8-year-old son mowed the lawn for the first time. The grass is probably 5 "high and slightly wet, but this mower went right through. There were some places that need a different way, but because the grass was too long. Leaves: The second weekend, the leaves began to fall. I experimented and found that the reel mower can handle sheets of white birch, which are small enough that the mower just throws off the track. However, my 5-year-old son, and I had to rake the leaves larger (like maple). Now that the leaves began to fall seriously, I simply extract the gas from the mower to mulch them, rather than rake. However, I am eager to make a final pass with the coil, and of course, I can not wait until spring. Easy. Quiet. Economical. It just works.

WORTHLESS IN FLORIDA
The good is that it was easy to assemble.
The bad news is that it is worthless on my Florida lawn.
It will not cut Bahia shoots and the St.

Practice Makes Perfect
The Scotts mower was simple to pull out of the box and use. Our lawn is a little bumpy in spots, so we keep it on a lower setting.

Love it! But not for the “perfect” or larger lawn.
I read review after review before buying this. I didn’t want the hassle of a gas mower or an electric so this was it (though I’ve taken some elbowing from my neighbors for having…

Not the mower for me….not sure who this is really for.
I bought this mower because I wanted to do my share for the environment and not have to worry about oil and gasoline. In that respect, this mower fits my needs.

Works great under 3″ of grass height
I recently purchased the 20″ Scott reel mower. It works really well as long as your grass is under 3″ high.
