How Do I Sharpen The Blades On A Rotary Mower?
Is there a proper way to sharpen the blades on my Bosch Rotary mower. I’ve just been sharpening them on the mower but not sure if this is the right way?

you sharpent with a grinder or a file, but before you put the blades back on you MUST make sure they are balanced. Hang the blade on a nail through the whole in the center of the blade. make sure its balanced. if not, keep grinding/filing until it is. otherwise you will have problems and regret it later.
Blades must be removed and then sharpened.
First remove the blade from the mower and then you can either sharpen the blade with a file of use a grinder. Using a grinder takes a bit of getting used to so I would say to use a file. Match the angle that the blade is cut and file till the blade is fairly sharp. It doesn’t need to be sharp like a razor. You also need to make sure that the blade is balanced when you are done or you will end up with alot of vibration. You can drive a nail into a stud straightly and leave a couple of inches exposed and then place the blade over the nail using the center hole of the blade. The heavier side will drop down if it’s not weight balanced. If this should occur then you need to file more off the heavy side until the blade is balanced. You could also take the blade to a hardware store to have it sharpened but I’ve found that it’s almost as expensive to sharpen the blade as it is to buy a new one.
