Your friend has a 3 year old Bosc (savannah) monitor and doesn't know what to feed it?
The general rule with pretty much all monitors is that they need to be fed WHOLE prey items. That means whole bugs (crickets, worms, roaches) mice, rats, chicks, day old quail, shrimp/prawns etc.
DO NOT feed things like boiled eggs, dog food, ground turkey, bologna or anything in general that has been processed. Some people seem to think that if the monitor will eat these kinds of food that it'll be fine, however these foods tend to be very fatty, and nutritionally incomplete.
