It’s not a good idea to mow a wet lawn, regardless of what kind of mower you use. When cutting a wet lawn, the grass is “torn” rather than cut and it encourages disease. Better to wait until it’s dry. I know you want to get out and cut that tall lawn, but, it’s best to wait. But, if you HAVE to cut it, it shouldn’t hurt you because the electric source is wherever the plug is.
You never want to mow wet grass the blades will pull instead of cutting. This will cause a fungus in certain grass species which will be very costly not to mention running the risk of the whole lawn dying as the fungus spreads. Look up perinthium blight in zoysia this is caused by the humidity in the south. Other than symantics there is no reason an electric lawn mower couldn’t cut wet grass.
Electric mower is not the problem if you have a good extention cord with no cuts in it. The problem is cutting wet grass is very bad for lawns and could cause problems. You can get diseased lawn and clumps of grass that kill it.
Dangerous to mow a wet lawn regardless of the type of mower used. Sharp, spinning blades and slippery surfaces lead to lost toes. Ask my cousin Bob.
water and electricity never go to together plus mowing the grass while its wet is hard on ur mower and very hard on grass
i wouldnt…. not with elecricity.
