Types of Lawn Mowers-Riding Lawn Mowers, Rotary Lawn Mowers, Push Reel Lawn Mower

Every home owner has a lawnmower or a company that hires lawnmowers own to help them keep their front yard and the backyard of their home well maintained. A lawnmower is a machine with a revolving cutting blade which helps to reduce the lawn evenly. There are several types of lawn mowers and different ideas that have been made over the years to serve different purposes. Today I will cover lawn mowers, lawn mower blade rotary mower and push reel mowers. Push Reel Lawn Mower: Push reel lawn mower in many countries is known as the cylinder mower. This is a manual mower while, but when properly adjusted reel push a lawn mower can give you the cleanest cut the grass. A lawn mower push reel generally cutting widths are roughly 12 inches to 20 inches. Rotary Mowers: In today's market, you will find that most roller rotary mowers are power by a small gasoline engine. Many of these mowers have a rotary cylinder and can have a power range of 2 to horse 7 horse power. The rotary mower, which what most of us use today comes with a manual pull crank to start the engine. Because of improved technology, the lawnmower blade rotary latest comes with preset speed to help increase the duration of engine life by reducing over-revving. A lawn mower petrol rotary has great advantages and disadvantages when compared with an electric lawn mower rotary. One of the most obvious with lawn mowers petrol Rotary is the noise level. Other problems include, cleaning the spark plugs, dirty air filter and fuel storage. However, a gas rotary lawn mower has more power than in electric lawn mower rotary. Riding Lawn Mower: a tractor lawn mower is one of my favorite machines lawn mower to use, partly because I'm lazy and sometimes have a very large lawn area to be cut. A riding lawn mower has a seat and controls of the mower and I get to sit and ride the mower. Lawn mowers can have many different uses. A lawn mower horse may have other devices mounted on it. Appliances such as snow plows and snow blowers. These clippers come with designs blades to cut grass into very small pieces. There is another riding lawn mower that comes with two blades help create a mulch. In addition, they can have side discharge or bag mower ready. When using lawn mowers, bagging a job is never good, for a riding mower is usually used for large area, making it difficult to get these cuts, especially if you have weeds or l 'long grass. The Quiet and Efficient Electric Lawnmower.

There really are very few reasons to choose a petrol lawnmower these days, in fact the only really good one I can think of is if you want to stay fit. If you do get a manual lawnmower and use people power, cheaper than a workout at the gym and just as effective.

Maintaining a good healthy lawn, requires pretty regular trimming, make sure that your lawnmower cuts to a really good length. You’ll find that anything over 3 inches tends to look a little unkempt, I always keep mine at 2 inches which looks great. Make sure your lawnmower can cut to this lentgh not all can – I’m looking at you hover mowers !

The best electric lawnmower have a decent amount of cable allowing you to reach all areas of your lawn. If your lawn is very long and awkward – say with loads of trees or large shrubs on it, then you should think twice and perhaps narrow your choices. An electric lawnmower with a cable is not usually a problem unless you have a situation like above. A few trees in the lawn can make it much more difficult to cut the lawn as the cable tends to get snagged a lot.

In this case I’d advice looking at the battery operated lawnmowers such as the Bosch LI range or going back to a simple petrol mower. The battery mowers are wonderful to use but you will find them a little more expensive than the standard electric lawnmower.

Here’s some reasons to buy an electric lawnmower.

1) Cleaner : they really are much cleaner and more environmental friendlier. You may be surprised to hear that some 2 stroke petrol lawnmower are generating up to three times as much pollution as a car!

2) Your ears : the noise level of your average electric lawnmower is much less that a petrol mower. In fact in some areas resident committees and associations have banned the use of petrol mowers in order to cut down on noise polution in their areas.

3) Easier to look after – the routine maintenance of electric mowers is very simple. Just maintain the blades by sharpening and keeping them clean and lubriacted and thats all you need to do. The mower will start quickly and easily and there’s no pre-flight check that you sometimes feel you need with petrol mowers !

Bosch Keyless Chuck Replaces Obsolete Parts

A Bosch Keyless Chuck can take the place of parts that do
You enjoy working with your drill Bosch to repair the house or on site, but you have lost or misplaced your key chuck. The drill familiar yellow and black always works like the day you bought it. You can? T do you get rid of quality, durable drilling, but what good is a drill with a lost key Chuck? Maybe you could buy a key chuck new from the long list of available parts Bosch. The play is already phased out, unfortunately.
Fortunately, Bosch has created some useful keyless chuck parts for your drill, for situations like yours. Because the part number 330075-66 loses power, you can replace the part you need with the new 330075-63. The DW990KQ-2 Type 4, DC920 Type 1 DW971K-2 are only a few different models of this part works.
Installing the new Bosch keyless chuck to replace the old Chuck who needed a key is fairly easy. You simply open the drill chuck, remove the screw from the end of the mandrel with an Allen key, and drag it out or give it a hotkey. The new Bosch keyless chuck can then be set up. To prevent the chuck from falling and causing accidents, screw it and totally secure.
You may use drilling immediately, but be aware that there is a slight discrepancy with the mandrel relative to what you're used to. As a minor inconvenience, it gives little torque.
One of the main benefits that you will undoubtedly notice when passing a mandrel Bosch with a key to the new core part is the convenience and speed. You'll save time when you go to screw bits. Instead of searching for the chuck key to loosen or tighten the chuck, you'll only need to turn the chuck a quick start and twist of the hand.
If you've misplaced your key chuck, there is hope. You'll find a Keyless Chuck Bosch spare part for your model. Change the drill chuck with the chuck Bosch news can be a simple procedure. Soon, you and your favorite drill Bosch is back to normal.

Bosch PSB 18 VE-2 Cordless Hammer Drill + 2nd Battery

The PSB18VE2 is probably the ultimate Bosch Cordless Combi Drill. For drilling in masonry, timber and steel it has pretty much no equal, it’s also equally effective for screw driving as well. The Drill has 5 torque settings which you can adjust easily and a drill and impact drill setting optimum power for every application. For higher performance, it has a 2-speed planetary gears, this also ensures a longer lifetime for the drill and batteries. With the best power transfer and high quality workmanship, you can see all of Bosch Power tools experience in this one hammer drill. The Bosch Electronic speed control uses the trigger for acceleration from 0 to a maximum, and a keyless chuck means it’s extremely quick and simple to change the bits.

Wherever you buy this drill watch the price differences, and ensure you buy a pack with the two batteries included. With hammer drills it’s often the battery that expires first and they can be quite expensive to replace. The cost of the pack with two batteries is only a little more than the single pack and it will prolong the life of your drill for sure.

Bosch Rotak Blade – Replacement

Problem with these Bosch mowers is that you can go nearly anywhere with them – which if you’re careless means you’ll soon be needing a replacement Bosch Rotak blade.   Believe me these used to be extremely hard to find, but they are a little widely available now.   Of course be careful, regularly sharpen and lubricate  the blade and they should last many years but an encounter with a rockery at a 2000 rpm can leave a nasty dint in your mowers rotary blade.

Anyway I’ve checked a few places and the cheapest for these is now Amazon. So here’s a few links to where you can find a replacement Bosch Rotak Blade, I think I’ve found most of the main models. Just click on the images to check the price and availability.

Bosch Rotak 40 Mower

There’s a bewildering amount of electric lawnmowers on the market now, but how does the Bosch Rotak 40 mower measure up? It’s probably one of the most popular lawnmowers in the UK at the moment, the Bosch range of rotary mowers can be found in just about every gardening shop and DIY store. Here’s my thoughts on this mower.

Bosch Rotak 40 Rotary Mower

Well the first thing you notice about the Bosch Rotak 40 is the size of the box it comes in, it’s enormous – I initially wondered if I’d got the wrong one delivered. However it was correct and the Rotak 40 nestled within – in about 4 pieces. You have to self assemble to some extent but this just involves clipping the handles together and then slotting the grass box too. It’s only a simple job but the grass box can be a little fiddly to put together, 10 minute job really if that.

Bosch Rotak 40
The initial impressions, certainly if you are used to petrol cylinder mowers is that it appears a little flimsy, the whole thing is just made from hardened plastic. However this has a huge advantage in the it is extremely light – most people would have little difficulty picking up the Rotak 40 in one hand (it weighs 13 kilogrammes). This makes it much easier to manoeuvre when you’re actually cutting the lawn.

The starting mechanism – so often the bane of the petrol lawnmower, I nearly had to dislocate my shoulder every time I used to start my ageing Hayter, the rotak is extremely easy. You pull back the lever and press a button and the Bosch Rotak 40 mower jumps into life. When you let go of the safety leaver the mower stops instantly.

It is extremely easy to use and the lightness means that anyone can push it and move the mower as they need. It is very easy to use and it sort of feels like you are pushing a vacuum cleaner round the garden. It’s not particularly noisy either when compared to a petrol mower which is a blessing if you’re partial to a bit of early morning mowing as I am.

So how about the cut, the Bosch Rotak 40 is a rotary mower – which means the 40cm rotary blades rotate to cut the grass. Previously these rotary mowers did not produce a very good finish but I’d have to say that the Rotak 40 defies that problem. Although not quite as good as a decent petrol cylinder mower the finish is surprisingly good. It even produces very clear stripes on your lawn as it cuts which always adds to the finish.

Combined with the lightweight and powerful motor the Bosch Rotak 40 most impressive feature is the actual cut. It has little grass combs on the side which allows it to cut right up to the edge of the lawn, and next to rockeries, shrubs and features really easily – you will be surprised at how close you can cut. The grass box is surprisingly roomy and seems to compress the grass down which means you need to empty it less (although you do have to pull the grass out sometimes when emptying).
Bosch Rotak 40 Cuts to the Edge

Overall I can find little wrong with the Bosch Rotak 40 – there were rumours of some early ones having problems with the motors but very rarely reported now – mine is over 3 years old now and I’ve only replaced the blade. There are 5 grass level settings but the Bosch Rotak 40 mower is so light and easy to use I always use it on the lowest, perhaps the one annoyance is that the selector is a little bit tricky to use.

If you have a average sized lawn, I’m certain the Bosch Rotak 40 would be a good choice, very few people would not be happy with the finish it really is very good. The smaller Rotak 34 just has a smaller blade but for the price difference if you have an medium sized garden for for the 40. I guess the only other thing I could find annoying would be getting used to the electric cable behind you, it’s not too bad though depending on the layout of your garden. There are battery powered versions which are really very good based on Bosch Lithium technology although you do pay quite a lot more for the battery mowers.

I’d give the Bosch Rotak 40 mower a thumbs up, it’s an excellent little mower and I don’t think many will be unsatisfied with it – you can see hundreds of reviews at the amazon site – click here
